The Edith Winthrop Teacher Center of Westchester is a consortium of eight public school districts: Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Elmsford, Greenburgh Central School District, Hastings-on-Hudson, Irvington Union Free School District, The Public Schools of the Tarrytowns, and Greenburgh Eleven, a Special Acts School   District which serves The Children’s Village.  To Read More Click Here

Rockland Teachers' Center Institute

RTC Online Academy

These seminars are open to NYSUT members only and there is no charge to participate. Class sizes will be limited, you are welcome to attend as many seminars as you can fit into your schedule. For more information or to register click here.


​Albert Shanker Grant for National Board Certification
As a New York teacher, we want you to be aware of the Albert Shanker Grant that will help cover the cost of you becoming a National Board Certified Teacher. If you are considering National Board Certification for the first time, you are eligible to apply for the Albert Shanker Grant from the New York State Education Department. The grant covers the full cost of certification, minus the yearly registration fees. The grant application window is open through March 31, 2021, or until all funds are allocated, whichever comes first. Now is the perfect time to apply! 

​FREE Professional Development Opportunities
In recognition of the immense professional learning needs of NYS educators at this time particularly in relation to mental health and equity, the NYSTC Network is hosting a slate of professional learning opportunities available to all NYS educators at no cost. Topics include Social Emotional Learning, Culturally Responsive Education and Special Education Certification Extension for Special Educators. Please note that enrollment is limited and registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional opportunities will be made available as funding permits. However, we cannot guarantee a seat for all who may be interested. Please register as soon as possible.
